Tsunami Experience
Whoosh!! Whoosh!! The breeze was making me feel right at home. It was cold and in perfect condition. I was at the Sunnyvale beach. This beach is named after a school Sunnyvale Primary which was built here long ago. Now, this beach was what left when the school was demolished, and new shops, pathways, benches were built.
I was at the beach, swimming with my family when only to me it seemed like the wind was stronger, the trees started swaying harshly. I knew what it was! a Tsunami?! I read about it few days back in the news paper. Is it really hitting us here too? I panicked not knowing what to do. I came out of water and used my father's iPhone to call 999 for help. I screamed to my dad, mom and my precious brother to come out of the water.
Unfortunately the Tsunami descended on us abruptly with a great sound.
The waves were indestructible and enormous! They hit and drowned or pushed us away from our beloved ones. I was parted from my family. It took hours for me to realize where I was and whether I was alive or not. When I came to my senses, I heard something hovering above my head. Everybody would have heard it as they all looked up with me. Yes there were people near me. Those were helicopters! They came to our help! Ropes flew out of the helicopter. We gripped the ropes with all the energy we had. We came out of the water and were carried by and to the helicopter. We dried ourselves and settled down. Fortunately, the tsunami did not go to the city. Sadly my house was destroyed too as it was nearby to the beach. We lost our money, food and all our belongings. Fortunately, we did not lose our lives.
The helicopter kept us safe till the tsunami subsided and landed us safely after that. I looked around! Sunnyvale was seven times uglier that before. My home was very near so I ran home. I saw my parents and ran to them to hug. They saw me wanting to cry. Thank God! My parents and brother were also safe. I cried hugging my brother as he was more precious to me. I walked around the demolished house and found my favorite toy and my piggy bank. Piggy bank was with all my saved money. It was safe just that it was swimming in water. I giggled with my brother even in that horrible situation of ours. I gave it to my father and started crying again. My parents soothed me. We moved to the city and managed to settle there. I started writing a book about my whole experience. Our family led a happy life after that.
