Singapore in the future

Hi. Bernard here! and this is “FUTURE NEWS!”. World-renowned scientist Andy Tay had just invented the latest H0V0RB:ARD S6, a new version of the famous toy in town among kids and among adults too. This new version of this great product will be launched in Suntec City tomorrow before public. Please do not forget to attend this event at sharp 7pm in Suntec City Tower 4. 

The next day...

Andy woke up a bit early than usual. He was excited as usual as it was his latest version launching day. Andy felt a pang of guilt when he sipped his coffee. The H0V0RB:ARD was actually a great idea by his very close friend Vishuraban with whom he is working with for almost 20 years. Vishuraban is an Indian Scientist who opened the theory for air resistance. Air resistance, as found, goes against gravity. If powered up, it can allow you to fly without power. And he got the fame for launching it in Singapore. Vishuraban is fine with it, still Andy guilt feeling could not be helped. Slowly but steadily, Andy walked down the stairs to the glassed living room. His house is practically floating in the sea 16km off the coast of Singapore. The only way to go to Singapore is by his small boat. 6pm in the evening, he gets dressed up for the event and sails to Singapore from his house.

30 minutes later…

Andy was in his flying Lamborghini which was parked in an auto parking car park. Vishuruban was sitting next to him and a scientific conversation was going on. Vishuruban was talking about the Wabots, a monstrous metal designed for crushing airplanes or jets flying in the air. This Humongous metal can stop, direct and start natural disasters. This will finally server as a big booster for Singapore’s defense system.

5 minutes later…

The Lamborghini was sent to park all by itself in the auto parking car park. Andy and Vishuruban were walking fast towards the event stage in Suntec Tower 4. People screamed with joy seeing them walking in. A small boy with specs flew in his H0V0RB:ARD S5 with a roar. Andy grinned wildly looking at him.

The event began at sharp 7. “Hello! My friends! Thanks a lot for that and I am blessed for all the love you shower me with. I hope you all enjoy this new version as well”. All the events followed after this very short speech from Andy. People queued up to buy the latest version.

30 minutes later…

They both were in their labs seriously working on their next new invention. They had a secret chamber inside their lab which is the smallest yet hardest to go through.

In a different part of the world at the same time…

Zen and his horde of terrorists were planning their secret attack on Singapore Island. Zen wanted to captivate Andy’s new invention and destroy him as he hated him very much for being so famous.

6 months later…

Still not even one Wabot was ready. It was a very hard task to create that heavy body. The head was the most challenging part by itself. Andy was exhausted and was preparing to go back home on that fateful day. When he was just about to get up from his seat, Weeyoh! Weeyoh! The terror alarm got activated. The other scientists in the lab, ran helter shelter clinging onto their dear lives. Andy did not know what to do. Terrorists? The securities should take care of it! In a second, Andy heard gun shots, police cars, shouts and screams and feets shuffling. Andy was unaware that it was targeted on him. He moved to the ---- and took his rifle and as he stepped out, the room burst with a big thud and he was thrown far off. He managed to get up and first thing he did was to run over to Vishuruban who had a rifle on his hands too. They saw Zen standing over their H0V0RB:ARD S6. Andy shouted to Vishuruban, he bought the latest! No time for chats said Zen and started his gunfire. Andy was terrified to know that he was the target. Vishuruban acted as fast as a storm. He took out a pea-sized object and threw it at the ground. It inflated as a flying speedy hoverboard. He flew to Zen and his gang aiming deadly shots. Alas, the gang was too much, that it finally killed Vishuruban. Andy was speechless by seeing his friend lying on the ground motionless. In the meantime, the police  force came to the scene and vanished the whole gang with Zen. Andy was saved but he was the saddest person in the whole world. His loss was too much to bear.

Few days later…

Wabot launching ceremony! Andy was appreciated and Vishuruban was remembered and awarded for bravery act.

Andy mentioned “I cannot stop what my friend started. It is all his brains and only my hands which built this Wabot! I did lose my best friend but not the hope that he left behind!

Claps roared in the room!
